How much does a typical clutch inspection cost?

I have a Ford Ranger 1996 and have yet to change the clutch. Now it’s really tough to shift gears. Some fluid does drip from the gear shift knob on ocassion but not much.

How much does it cost to replace a clutch on a 2005 saturn?

It fills like the clutch is slipping or something when I change gears I can put the clutch down but it has problems moving now. The car has less than 40000 miles on it.
