What would make my engine stall when I make a stop after the engine warms up?

After the engine warms up and I pull up to a stop light or sign, the oil light starts to flicker and the engine dies. Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem might be? Its a 1988 Ford Taurus GL. V-6.
