I’M A FUCKING IDIOT!!!! I’m so pissed at myself. I’m a stupid 16 year old who got a 1993 Honda del sol about 5 months ago, when I feel like reving it up i normally stop at 6.5K rpm. Tonight I wanted to see the limit were it could rev to so i floored at the onramp to the highway in second gear and went all the way up to 7.4K rpm and heard the engine make a sound lie “vrim-vrim” so I shifted to third gear and so on. When I got off the highway I down shifted to 4th gear and when i let the clutch out it made a loud grinding sound. I had to drive about 10 miles home from there through stop light and traffic hell to get home. In every gear when i let out the clutch it makes a sound like metal scraping pavement( I looked under the car later and everything is still in place not touching the ground). It was the most embarasing moment of my life. I’m literally weaping right now. So can anyone tell me how mutch it will cost to replace a transmition and clutch?
thanks, turned out a spring in my clutch was loose and broke. Its fixed now, clutch feels better than ever b/c its brand new. cost me $650 total.
