Can I Use An Auto Part Out Of A Car With The Same Make And Model Just A Different Year?

I have a 1998 dodge stratus 2.4 L and I need a heater core. If I find another dodge stratus thats parting out can I use the part out it if its a different year? Are there any websites I can go to to compare and maybe look this up for future reference?
